What are the ten treasures?
1. People with AD/HD have
heightened awareness. They are the eagle-eyed observers of the world.
2. They are
creative and innovative—the divergent thinkers of the world.
3. They are persistent. They keep trying until they get it right. Despite setbacks, students with AD/HD show up for school every single morning, ready to try again. They are determined. Once they make up their minds to do something, they will.
4. They have
high energy, which can be channeled for good use.
5. They are resilient
. They have a willingness to keep working to improve, to come back again
and again, to take setbacks in stride and keep right on going.
6. They have a desire to fit in and to be successful.
7. They want to please their parents and teachers.
8. They have a wonderful sense of humor, often on the delightfully devilish side.
9. They live life with gusto.
They have a capacity for huge enjoyment of their experiences, and plunge into things with wonderful abandon.
